The Popoyo Surf Lodge sits on a sprawling 14 acre piece of land only 400 meters from the ocean in Playa Guasacate, Nicaragua. The swimming pool, cabinas and restaurant are all nestled in between the extensive gardens that been cultivated around the property. We have many indigenous birds and iguanas that share the facility with us. You can also take the time to visit Carlos and Carla our resident spider monkeys.

In 2005 we opened the season with three new deluxe casitas, a swimming pool, and new hammock area.

The new fully air-conditioned entertainment room has a huge sitting area furnished with a 40 inch television, Direct TV and a HUGE collection of DVD's and Surf videos. We also have a ping pong table and pool table for our guests enjoymentl. It is great way to top off a day of surfing.

Evenings at Popoyo are spent filling up on hearty foods, relaxing among friends, recounting the day's many waves and experiences, and rejuvenating the body, mind and soul for yet another action filled day in the waves.

We opened the 2006 season with a newly reconstructed rancho and restaurant. The rancho has always served as a gathering place for our guests, friends and family to enjoy fellowship, great food and good times at the Popoyo Surf Lodge.
